Schooling nonprofit to honor Shelley Simpson
Economics Arkansas, a nonprofit academic group that promotes financial literacy to Okay-12 college students, will current the 2023 Excellence in Free Enterprise Award to J.B. Hunt Transport Companies President Shelley Simpson.
Simpson grew to become president of the Lowell-based provider in August 2022. She joined the corporate in 1994.
“Simpson’s modern management and dedication to company-wide development display the ability of free enterprise to enhance the lives of individuals throughout the state and nation,” Economics Arkansas stated in a press release.

Economics Arkansas has offered the Excellence in Free Enterprise Awards since 2012, recognizing entrepreneurial spirit and enterprise acumen. Earlier recipients embody Sam Walton (posthumously), J.B. and Johnelle Hunt, Don Tyson (posthumously), Mike Duke and Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
